Used for: To lower levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL and triglycerides) and raise levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. To treat severe hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides) with or without low HDL cholesterol. To reduce the progression of diabetic retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and existing diabetic retinopathy.
