Indications: Reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in adults, adolescents, and children aged 10 years or older with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial) or combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia, when response to diet and other non-pharmacological measures is inadequate. Reduction of total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol in adults with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments or if such treatments are unavailable. Prevention of cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction, stroke, need for revascularization procedures, or hospitalization for heart failure) in adults at high risk.
