Used for: Seizure disorders Acute manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar disorder Migraine headaches Directions: Take Divakote ER once a day with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole. Do not chew, crush, or break them. The usual starting dose for adts is 500 mg once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose as scheded. Do not double your dose.
